Tale
A modern-day tale of the pursuit of fortune in the world of West Texas oil rigs. A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a go-between between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landowner’s job is to negotiate and finalize agreements with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent.

Essentially, they manage the land and secure leases so they can drill for oil and gas. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (human camp), oversee the assembly of drilling equipment, and the drilling of the well itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part fixer, problem solver, and facilitator.

Seriously, this is so good. Phenomenal. Who knew a show about an oil field would be so interesting.
7 days is too long to wait between episodes
This is the first show in a while where I can’t wait for the next episode to end. I don’t know the first thing about oil field work, but you don’t have to. Whether it’s realistic or not, I don’t care if it’s entertaining or not, that’s what matters to me, and it’s very entertaining.
The character of Billy Bob has been one of my favorite characters for a long time, so it’s so refreshing to see such a character come to life, and the way BBT has portrayed him
